The Westbank Library

The Westbank library is located in the Central Okanagan region of British Columbia.

The library serves the west Kelowna city of Westbank BC.

The library is very modern and has the latest in technology available to it.

There is a cool display inside the library celebrating the Bicentennial of the Okanagan Fur Brigade Trail.

Just a little history in a long list of events in Okanagan history.

Besides the books you love to browse through on the shelves in the library there is so much more material available to everyone.

There are both children's and adult programs that you can be involved in.

Some of the items you can borrow or have access to include:

DVD's
CD's
Special services for members
Fiction and non-fiction books
Magazines
Newspapers

All you need is a library card to take any of these items out. Just go to the front desk and you can get one right away after giving some personal information.

It's as easy as that!

The Westbank branch of the Okanagan Regional Library also gives you access to several computers and wireless internet for you to go online.

You can also search for anything you may be looking for and see if it is checked in and where it is located in the library.

A real cool group that was formed in 2001 is the Friends of the Westbank Library. They help support the work of the library and its staff. They have book sales and the money raised from this goes towards sponsoring various programs and events.

This group has meetings that anyone can attend. You just have to contact the library for the times of these meetings.

The library is in the Westridge Mall (next to Coopers). There is free parking in the mall so it is very easy to get to.

Monday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday 10.00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday Closed

There are book return bins beside the front door that can be used when the library is closed.
