A Scenic Landscape That Must Be Viewed By All

Spallumcheen Valley in the North OkanaganThe North Okanagan is definitely a place to stop and spend some time on any visit to this region of British Columbia. There are so many activities available and the scenery of the area is outstanding!

This area may not get as much attention as the South and Central Okangan do, but you need to experience just a short time here and you will fall in love with it.

The area is surrounded by history and culture. The cities and towns here are some of the oldest in the entire Okanagan.

This part of the Okanagan valley is my favourite. Let me take you on a stroll throughout this region and you can discover for yourself exciting and interesting things to do.

  • Visit a cheese factory and watch cheese being made through a viewing area. Browse through the store and sample some of the delicious varieties of cheeses they have on display. Or just relax and enjoy lunch in a old fashioned relaxing atmosphere.

  • View the gorgeous "lake of many colours" at a roadside stop. Unbelievable and spectacular scenery to say the least!

  • Stop by the historic O'keefe Ranch and see one of the oldest structures in the North Okanagan. Spend the day and bring the whole family to enjoy all of the exhibits here.

  • There are several events throughout the year that bring tourists and locals together in a festive atmosphere. I'll fill you in on all the exciting details!

    It really is an outstanding area of the Okanagan. By now you have probably begun to realize how much I love this place. I am sure that you will fall in love with it too!

    From top notch skiing and snowboarding in the mountains at Silver Star Ski Resort to enjoying the beaches in the valley bottom, there are plenty of fun activities to engage in any of the four seasons in the North Okanagan.


    Cities and Towns

    Vernon- The largest city in the North Okanagan. Vernon, BC is my home town, so I will give you a personal guided tour and tidbits of information you won't find anywhere else.

    Armstrong - One of the most spectacular agricultural areas in all of British Columbia. Home to the Village Cheese Company and the IPE, the community of Armstrong, BC is a must see place.

    Enderby - Located at the "Top of the Okanagan", this small town sits on the banks of the beautiful Shuswap River. Check out the Enderby cliffs, what a fantastic view!

    Coldstream- Just a few minutes down the road east of Vernon lies the District of Coldstream. Described as 'rural living at its best', this little piece of paradise is just that. Lots of natural areas and scenic views here!

    Lumby, BC in the North OkanaganLumby- 'The Gateway to the Monashee', this little village is a focal point for the many wilderness adventures that surround this gorgeous area. Stop by and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and small town hospitality this area has to offer.






    From the cities and communities, like Armstrong, BC, to all of the activities and adventures that await the visitor to this region, I hope that I can give you that personal feel to this wonderful area called the North Okanagan.

  • For the student wishing to carry on his or her studies, there is the Okanagan College campus in Vernon. An excellent school for local and international students.

  • As anywhere in the Okanagan Valley, there are numerous golf courses, beaches, parks, shopping malls, hiking trails, ball diamonds, Okanagan Regional Library, and campgrounds. I could go on and on about the North Okanagan.
