Driving Directions Canada
Find Your Way To The Okanagan

Driving directions Canada is your source for routes to take from different areas of Canada into the Okanagan.

I picked some popular locations that people might travel from.

With the help of Google Maps Canada locations can be found and driving directions given along with distance and travel times being calculated.

Google Maps is fast and easy to use.

Drive From Vancouver And The Island

I have driven to the Okanagan from Vancouver and the Coast area many times over the years.

It is a wonderful drive and I always looked forward to it.

I have included Victoria BC as one of the locations to come from on this map. I wanted to show the ferry trip from Vancouver Island to Vancouver and then the driving routes from there.

And I chose Kelowna as the destination as it is the hub city of the Okanagan Valley.

There are 2 great highways that you can take from Vancouver to the Okanagan.

If you want some spectacular scenery and just want to take your time getting here then the Hope - Princeton Hwy (Hwy 3) is for you.

The other highway you can take is the Coquihalla Hwy (Hwy 5). This is the faster route but it is also a very scenic drive, too.

Drive From The BC North

I chose Fort Nelson in the far north of BC to show if someone was making a long trip and needed to drive BC highways to get to the Okanagan.

This is also an opportunity to enjoy some of the most gorgeous scenery you can imagine traveling the Alaska Hwy.

There are 2 routes you can take once you get to Kamloops BC.

You can take the Coquihalla Hwy south to Merrit, connect with the Coquihalla Connector (Hwy 97C) to Hwy 97 and then head north to Kelowna BC.

Or you can go through Kamloops and follow the signs to Hwy 97S. You then continue on and pass through the North Okanagan on your way to Kelowna BC.

Drive From Calgary Alberta

A lot of visitors come from Alberta to the Okanagan, especially in the summer time.

The trip from Calgary is usually taken by using the Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1) and heading north through Banff, Alberta.

You then go through the Rogers Pass to Hwy 97A south towards Vernon BC and then get on Hwy 97S to Kelowna.

This route is incredibly scenic and a very popular one for travelers.

And another driving directions Canada way to the Okanagan!

Drive From Winnipeg Manitoba

I wanted to show you a drive from Winnipeg, Manitoba as it is a further drive from a more Eastern Province of Canada.

There are a few routes you can take from here to get to the Okanagan.

All of them involve the Trans-Canada Hwy (Hwy 1) which passes through Manitoba, Sakatchewan, Alberta and into British Columbia.

Again once you get into BC there are a couple of routes you can take to get to Kelowna.

There is so much you can do with Google Maps to plan your trip into the Okanagan. There are ways to customize Google driving directions so that you can plan your own route from anywhere in Canada,

Some of the routes from Eastern Canada have driving directions that go through the United States highways and back into Canada.

If you get the chance hit the View Larger Map on a driving directions Canada map on my website.

You can then add destinations and change highway routes to what suits you. There is usually more than one suggested route you can take.

The cool thing about this is that the program will show the kilometers to and the time it will take to get to your destination.

I hope Google Maps and this driving directions Canada page helps you to find a route from wherever you are coming from in Canada and to enjoy a fun and scenic trip to the Okanagan.
