Okanagan British Columbia Ski Resorts by far have the best skiing, the best snowboarding, and of course the best snow in all of BC.

And any of the ones that you visit are the best family ski resorts you will find anywhere.
Alright, I may be a little biased towards our Okanagan region because I live here.
But this is what you hear from people all over who visit our local ski resorts.
We do have it good, summer or winter, in the Okanagan Valley!
The Okanagan mountains are blessed with an abundance of a light, powdery snow. We like to call it "champagne" powder and it is definitely a signature of this region of BC.
The snow makes for excellent, ideal conditions for skiing and snowboarding at any of the Okanagan British Columbia Ski Resorts.
Many of the resorts offer accommodations that include a hot tub. There is nothing like being out in the cold all day and then relaxing and soaking in the warm waters of a spa afterwards.
There are custom built Spa covers to fit your spa or hot tub. They are made in Canada and built to withstand the harsh Canadian climate.
The Okanagan is home to five outstanding ski resorts and all of them have their own unique features to them.
They are Silver Star Ski Resort in Vernon BC, Big White Ski Resort in Kelowna BC, Crystal Mountain Resort near Westbank BC, Apex Mountain Resort in Penticton BC and Mt. Baldy near Oliver BC.
Sun Peaks Resort is another first-class resort and it is found just north of Kamloops in the Thompson Nicola region of British Columbia . I thought I would mention it as it is one of the British Columbia ski resorts that is still close enough to get to when you are driving in the Okanagan.
And it really is a superb ski hill too!
Silver Star Mountain is the most northerly ski resort in the Okanagan
Valley. This year-round open village is truly a scenic wonderland that
the whole family can enjoy.

The Summer here is just as fun and exciting as the winter. Enjoy activities like mountain biking and hiking on all the trails they have here.
Another reason why this this is one of the best British Columbia Ski Resorts in the Okanagan.
The village is a display of brightly coloured buildings with a Victorian theme in a time set long ago.
It truly is a magnificent place that has won awards for being one of the best family resorts in all of Canada!
Make sure to visit here on one of your next family ski vacations. To get here just take Hwy 97 through Vernon BC and take a right off of 48th Ave. Stay on this road and it will turn into Silver Star Road.
The climb to the mountain is about 22 Km (14 mi) and in no time you will enter Silver Star Mountain Resort.
The fun is about to begin!

Night skiing, ice skating, snow tubing, carnivals and so much more will keep everyone in a fun mood.
Big White is the largest ski-in, ski-out ski resort in all of Canada. Just step right out onto the slopes from any of the accommodation options they have here.
The scenery is simply incredible as you explore the vast terrain. You will love the awesome snow caked trees known as "Snowghosts" as you ski through the area.
With over 750 cm (24.5 ft) of snow annually no wonder the motto here is "Its the snow". And its just not any snow that falls on the mountain here. It's the Champagne powder the Okanagan area is so famous for.
The snow is so legendary that Ski Canada Magazine awarded the resort "Best Powder" in 2008.
After a day on the slopes hit one of the many restaurants in the village. Or for the adult crowd relax and unwind in one of the excellent coffee shops, lounges, pubs or bars that are found throughout Big White.
The mountain is only 56 km (35 mi) from Kelowna and easily accessible from anywhere in the Okanagan.

Apex Mountain Resort is one of Canada's hidden gems in the skiing world. It is a smaller and quieter resort but still rivals the other big ski resorts in everything it has to offer.

This is the place to come when the other resorts may be crowded and you want a to enjoy shorter lift lines. The 600cm (20 ft) of snow that falls here each season is still the same Okanagan powder the region is famous for.
The slopes have many challenging runs for the expert skier to tackle. There are also beginner and intermediate runs for the less advanced skier to try out.
There are several events and activities in and around the cozy village. Make sure you and the kids check out the tube park. You could spend hours here enjoying family fun.
Everything is so close to get to in the village and has everything you would want including many accommodation and dining options.
